What we open

Safes We Open

Non-destructive methods first. Drilling is the last resort, and we ask before we do it.

Safe lockout: $200

Home safes, office and cash safes, gun safes and hotel-style safes with a keypad, dial or key. We find out why the safe will not open (dead keypad, lost combination, jammed bolts, lost key) and choose the least invasive way in.

Most safes open without damage. If drilling is the only option, we tell you first and, where possible, drill a small hole that can be plugged so the safe stays usable.

After we open it

  • Reset the combination to one you choose
  • Replace a dead keypad or lock (parts quoted before we install)
  • Cut a new key for key-lock safes where possible

Before we start

Proof of Ownership

We only open a safe for the person it belongs to.

What we check

A photo ID and proof the safe is yours: a receipt, the safe’s paperwork, or an ID that matches the address where the safe is. For a business safe, the owner or manager needs to be present.

What to have ready when you call

  • Brand and model, if you know it
  • Keypad, dial or key lock
  • What happened: forgot the code, dead battery, key lost, or it just stopped opening

Upfront pricing
Alexey was punctual and his price stated was the price at the end. Having dealt with previous locksmiths giving the run around and upping the price when the service was completed, this was very stress free and professional.

Honest work
Super impressed with their fast and honest work. I had an old lock that was sticking and hard to turn. They cleaned it up and made it work like new again. Didn’t try to sell me anything unnecessary.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about safe lockouts and safe opening.

How much does it cost to open a safe?

$200 flat for standard home, office and gun safes. The $35 service fee is credited toward the job, and you get the exact total before we dispatch. Large commercial or vault-type safes are quoted after a photo.

Will you damage my safe?

Most safes open without damage. Dead batteries, lost combinations and jammed bolts are usually solved without drilling. If drilling is the only way, we tell you first and choose a spot that can be plugged, so the safe stays usable.

Can you open a safe if I forgot the combination?

Yes, that is the most common safe call we get. We open it, then reset the combination to one you choose.

Do you open gun safes?

Yes, keypad, dial and key-lock gun safes. Bring proof of ownership. We do not open a safe for anyone who cannot show it is theirs.

What do you need to open my safe?

A photo ID, proof the safe is yours (a receipt, the safe’s paperwork, or an ID matching the address), and the brand and model if you know it. For a business safe, the owner or manager needs to be there.
